Overview

CampusFin is an educational financial-readiness platform designed to help users estimate college costs, evaluate budgets, compare college options, and explore financial scenarios.

Information You Enter

CampusFin may process information you voluntarily enter, including estimated tuition, scholarships, housing costs, family contributions, student income, monthly expenses, emergency savings, and financial-readiness responses.

Users should not enter Social Security numbers, bank account credentials, credit card numbers, passwords, or other highly sensitive financial information.

How Information Is Used

Information entered into CampusFin is used to generate educational calculations, financial-readiness assessments, scenario comparisons, and experimental decision-support results.

Experimental AI and Machine Learning

Some CampusFin features use experimental machine-learning or rule-based analysis. Current experimental models may use synthetic training data and should not be interpreted as professional financial advice or validated financial-risk assessments.

Data Storage

During development and beta testing, CampusFin may store submitted planning information to support saved profiles and comparisons. Storage practices may change as the platform evolves.

Research Use

CampusFin will not treat ordinary application usage as research participation. If information is collected for research purposes in the future, additional consent and appropriate privacy protections should be provided before research data is collected.

Third-Party Services

CampusFin may rely on hosting, database, analytics, or infrastructure providers necessary to operate the service. Their own privacy practices may also apply.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as CampusFin develops new features or changes how information is stored and processed.

CampusFin is currently an educational and experimental platform. Do not enter highly sensitive personal or financial information.
